ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a dedicated PMC Field Project Engineer to oversee and coordinate field engineering activities for a major petrochemical project. The Field Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering tasks are executed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage field activities in accordance with project requirements and work schedule.
- Supervise the work of the EPC contractor.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify problems and ensure engineering activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating with project management, contractors and subcontractors to resolve engineering challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and approve project-related engineering designs, drawings and technical documents.
- Ensuring minimum disruption to the project timeline by identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during construction.
- Ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with approved designs, drawings and project specifications.
- Ensuring that quality control measures are implemented to ensure that engineering activities meet the required standards and specifications.
- Ensuring that inspections and tests are carried out to verify the quality of engineering works and materials.
- Keeping detailed records of construction activities such as progress updates, delays and providing progress reports to project management.
- Addressing any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction and ensuring minimum disruption to the project work schedule.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Min. 8-12 years of experience in field engineering supervision, with a focus on petrochemical or similar projects. Proven experience in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of engineering processes, building materials and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret projects and specifications.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for team coordination.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
