Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing all construction-related activities under the contract, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture.
- Take a proactive stance on HSE initiatives and best practices.
- Ensure safe execution of all project phases and activities.
- Uphold and enforce health and safety compliance.
- Oversee facility installations following both company and international standards within project timelines while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Provide leadership and structure to the construction team, ensuring alignment with workforce development and nationalization strategies.
- Ensure that construction work and deliverables meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Develop and optimize construction procedures and methodologies.
- Guarantee high-quality execution of construction tasks.
- Support construction planning and contribute to the creation of accurate and timely progress reports.
- Manage the construction workforce, including resource planning and workforce allocation, ensuring the team meets project demands.
- Assign personnel to specific projects and business units based on expertise and project needs.
- Act as the primary interface between the construction team and the client.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Oversee resource allocation and workforce management.
- Provide visible leadership and active engagement on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Min. 15 years of experience in civil and structural construction supervision, with a focus on petrochemical or similar projects. Proven experience in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment is highly desirable. Background in Oil & Gas or Chemical Industry disciplines.
- Extensive knowledge of project construction procedures and methodologies.
- Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Degree in an engineering-related field.
- Strong focus on project delivery while maintaining high HSE standards.
- Deep understanding of the construction process, including execution and management.
- Experience in team leadership and workforce management.
- Ability to train and mentor construction personnel, fostering skills development.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with management and client representatives at all levels.
