Bioinformatician Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bioinformatician to join our team for research and development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and validating pipelines and other bioinformatics tools, as well as reviewing current literature to identify and adopt methodologies, making new analysis capabilities available to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and validate pipelines and other bioinformatics tools
• Review current literature to identify and adopt methodologies, making new analysis capabilities available to the team

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of genomics, proteomics and molecular surveillance of bacterial and viral pathogens
• Strong knowledge in Python
• Strong programming skills and understanding of bioinformatics algorithms and tools
• Familiarity with public databases
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Masters or PhD in bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology, computer science, or a related field
